Recap From Last Season

Week 5 (October 8 and 9)

The Indianapolis Colts managed to score just enough points to go 5- 0 as they beat the Titans 14- 13. The Colts won on a 10-play, 43-yard fourth quarter drive as Peyton Manning (31 ATT, 20 COMP, 166 YD, 2 TD, 1 INT) threw a 2-yard TD to Reggie Wayne. First-year Titan QB Vince Young was 10 of 21 for 63 yards and 1 interception.

St. Louis went 4- 1- 0 as they defeated the Packers 23- 20. Rams’ QB Marc Bulger threw 2 touchdowns, while kicker Jeff Wilkins was three for three in field goals. The Packers’ Brett Favre (39 ATT, 22 COMP, 220 YD, 1 TD, 0 INT) brought the club back in the fourth quarter with a 46-yard TD. But in the final drive, Farve was sacked on the Rams’ 18-yard line with 44 seconds left and lost the ball.

Chicago went to 5- 0 as they humiliated Buffalo 40- 7. The Bills’ QB J.P. Losman threw three interceptions and the Bills lost two fumbles. The Bears’ Thomas Jones ran for 109 yards and Cedric Benson rushed for two touchdowns.

The Eagles won their fourth game and handed the Cowboys their second loss as Donovan McNabb threw for 354 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Dallas QB Drew Bledsoe completed only 47.4% of his passes and threw three interceptions. Bledsoe was sacked six times by the Philadelphia defense.

Jacksonville blanked the Jets while scoring 41 points. NY QB Chad Pennington was sacked five times, tossed three interceptions and accumulated only 71 yards. The Jags RB Fred Taylor racked up 111 yards and ran for 1 TD.

Pittsburgh lost their third in a row as San Diego defeated the 2005 World Champions 23- 13. QB Roethlisberger was sacked five times and threw two interceptions.
