As indicated by NFL oddsmakers, the Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings are even, and the line is a PICK. Washington is 3-4 on the season, but is riding a two-game win streak.

Last week, the Skins took down Dallas in OT; the week prior, a two point win over the Titans at home. Visiting Minnesota sees even odds with a total of 43.5 listed in NFL odds.

The Redskins have had a good pass offense this year, ranking 5th in the NFL at 289.5 yards per game. Robert Griffin III will be returning after suffering a dislocated ankle in Week 2. Griffin’s return will be the story, but these are two teams that are middle of the road, despite overcoming circumstances that should have rendered their records far worse.

The Vikings have had fate turn their hands into playing Teddy Bridgewater as a rookie, but he’s learning to float. Last week he had 241 passing yards in the 19-13 victory over Tampa Bay. The 6’2” QB from Louisville has 1,053 yards on the season, but has thrown just two TD passes. He had previously thrown five picks in two games, but had no interceptions against the Bucs. Bridgewater hasn’t looked to rush much, but he had 54 yards in the firs two games.

Minnesota has held it together despite the loss of Adrian Peterson to his legal allegations.

RB Jerick McKinnon has 392 yards on the season with a 5.2 yard per carry average, and while Matt Asiata isn’t a big yardage back, he’s been good in the red zone and has accounted for three TDs this season.  Cordarrelle Patterson has impressed with 110 rushing yards in addition to his 299 receiving yards.

Greg Jennings leads the way for Vikings receivers with 383 yards (13.2 per reception) and two TDs.  Patterson and No. 3 receiver Jarius Wright both have managed 141 and 174 yards after the catch and accounted for 34 first downs between them.

Trends:

WAS: 0-4 ATS in last 4 games after accumulating 350 total yards in previous game; OVER 6-1-1 in last 8 games after allowing 150 yards rushing in previous game; 1-5 ATS in last 6 games in week 9.

MIN: UNDER 4-0 in last 4 vs team with losing record; OVER 10-2 in last 12 games in week 9; UNDER 4-1 in last 5 on turf.

H2H: UNDERDOG 6-1 in last 7 meetings; OVER 4-1 in last 5 meetings.
