The Denver Broncos learned that the defense is going to have to improve after falling to the Seahawks in Super Bowl 48. The Broncos want to get Peyton Manning another shot at a Superbowl win this year, and GM John Elway used a lot of cap space to help improve the D.

The Oakland Raiders are going to have a huge turnover with 12 new starters including a new QB for the fourth straight season. The Raiders are also stuck with one of the toughest schedules in the league and it features four games against NFC West teams, six games against divisional playoff teams, and one against the New England Patriots. The Raiders finished just 4-12 last season, and with so many new starters, only modest improvement is expected.

The Atlanta Falcons won just four games last year, and the team sought to revamp its lines to help improve on that nasty total. Matt Sims got destroyed due to the porous OL last season, and the Falcons were picked apart by the better defenses consistently. The Falcons will seek to be a tougher team to deal with on the lines, and if it doesn’t the team is going to be equally as putrid as last season.
The Tampa Bay Bucs haven’t ventured into the postseason in six straight seasons. The team sent coach Jon Gruden packing in 2009, and since that point the Bucs have been unable to find a suitable replacement.

The New Orleans Saints stand a strong chance of returning to the Super Bowl this year. The team has had its GM, coach and QB together since 2006 and Loomis is a great talent scout for helping this team sustain its roster greatness. The Saints are a force at home but must improve its road play this season. To get the title though, the Saints have to find an answer for the Seattle Seahawks, though.
The Dallas Cowboys haven’t made the postseason in the last four years, and changing that will require a big turnaround in one of the worst defensive units in the league. It’s limited the team to three straight .500 seasons and coach Jason Garrett has his last chance at redemption before his contract expires after this season.
