Well, last time I pled for you to jump aboard the gravy train, and kudos to you if you did, because this week I am 15-4 on Player Prop bets and have only had one losing night all season.  Tonight’s lines offer a lot of intrigue as Bodog sometimes sets quirky lines given players’ recent play, which they don’t always take into account, instead going by season averages more often than not.  That said, let’s take a look at tonight’s selected player prop bets for eight different bets.

Well, last night I went 4-4-1 for player prop bets, with championed pick DeMarcus Cousins finally living up to the ‘over’ expectations quite easily.  DeRozan is my hot pick for tonight given his recent dominance and Cleveland’s lackluster defense.  Bogut is also a strong candidate for the ‘under’ because he seems to have a lot of trouble accomplishing much of anything against Howard, and if the Magic blow the Bucks out, it will result in a lot of rest.  Odds and bets are taken from Bodog.  Here are my 12 predictions for tonight’s games.

The games on Thursday night weren’t entirely entertaining, and they weren’t too surprising, but they were educational. At first glance, three things pop into mind as I process what happened:

1. Xavier is for real – Xavier struggled in the second half, and they should have won their game against West Virginia easier than they did, but they proved that they certainly aren’t out of place in the Elite Eight – the school’s second berth since 2004. Their balance and depth is impressive, and their discipline is relentless. I know for certain that they don’t have an answer for Kevin Love, but I don’t know that the Bruins have an answer for some of what the Musketeers through at them, either. Western Kentucky succeeded in the second half with an up-tempo shooting fest and they will get all of that and more from the Musketeers. Xavier consistently makes the big play when they need it, and they will need several on Saturday. If I was forced then I would say that UCLA would probably win, but an upset would not be an overwhelming or impossible one.

UCLA is a very popular choice to win it all, and they are very likely to find themselves going very deep in most of my brackets. It only makes sense – they have been to the Final Four twice in a row, and this team is just as good as the last two teams. Kevin Love is probably the best player who has played for the team during this run. It’s not all sunshine and roses, though. Two of the starters are hurting. Love has a sore back that has limited his participation in recent days. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute sprained his ankle for the second time this season, and that kept him out of the Pac-10 championship game against Stanford. So, the question is this – should we panic? Will these injuries damage an otherwise promising run? Here’s a look:
