The Pittsburgh Steelers are out for revenge against an earlier loss this season against the Baltimore Ravens
The Pittsburgh Steelers are out for revenge against an earlier loss this season against the Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore had its two-game win streak snapped last time out, as it dropped a 27-24 decision to the Cincinnati Bengals as 2.5-point road favorites last week, while losing the statistical battle by 56 yards.  The Ravens know they expect an angry football team on the opposite sideline Sunday night, which can’t be ignored when making your Week 10 NFL predictions, as they came away with a 26-6 victory over the Steelers as 2.5-point home favorites in the first meeting this season.  Baltimore is 10-12 SU and 10-11-1 ATS on the road since the start of the 2012 campaign, with the UNDER going 11-10-1 in that situation.

The Ravens will need to give quarterback Joe Flacco time to throw the ball downfield, which is important to consider when looking over the NFL betting lines, as he’s been sacked just nine times after going down 48 times a year ago.  Baltimore will need a strong game out of often injured Lardarius Webb, as the defense will likely have just three healthy cornerbacks in this AFC North matchup.

Pittsburgh will look to sweep its current three-game homestand, as it picked up SUATS wins over the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts, while going OVER the betting total in each of those affairs.  The Steelers have been limited to an average of 15.4 points in the last 12 regular-season meetings in this series, but quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is coming off a major performance—completing 40 of 49 passes for 522 yards against the Colts.  Pittsburgh is 3-6 SU and 3-5-1 ATS when revenging a loss against a foe the last two-plus seasons.

The Steelers have dropped five of their last seven games against the Ravens, while five of the last six have been decided by a field goal or less.  Pittsburgh has a balanced offensive attack with running back Le’Veon Bell, who leads the AFC with 1,086 total yards from scrimmage, while Antonio Brown has become Roethlisberger’s main target in the passing game.

Sports bettors will likely play the total, as the OVER is 10-4-1 in the last 15 meetings between these bitter rivals.
