The Florida State Seminoles are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight road games in Miami

Florida State has won 10 of its last 12 games and travels to take on the Miami Hurricanes on Sunday inside the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables.  The Seminoles dropped a 74-66 contest last time out to the Duke Blue Devils as one-point home underdogs.  “Sometimes it’s not always that you’re defeated, it’s how you respond to it,” commented Seminoles head coach Leonard Hamilton.  The program is 11-4 in this particular series since becoming ACC rivals, including five straight wins in the series since the 2009-10 season.  Florida State is 13-12 ATS on the year and the “under” is 13-12 in those contests.

The Seminoles have won 19 games so far this season and are looking to win their 20th game for a school-record fourth consecutive season.  Guard Michael Snaer is certainly the player to watch on the offensively end, averaging a team-leading 14.3 points per game.  He has managed to score in double figures in nine of the last 12 games.  Florida State leads all ACC teams in field goal percentage defense, while sitting second in shooting 45.1 percent from the floor.

Miami is set to host ACC Sunday Night Basketball and will look to bounce back from a 75-70 loss to the Maryland Terrapins as three-point road favorites.  The Hurricanes will look to avoid getting swept in the season series this year, dropping a 64-59 decision as 6.5-point road underdogs on Feb. 11.  Center Reggie Johnson was held in check in that affair, scoring just four points, as he’s been battling injuries for most of the year.  He was limited to just three points in 15 minutes before leaving early with an injury versus the Terrapins.  Miami is 0-2 ATS as a home favorite of three points or less this season.

The Hurricanes have been getting tremendous production out of their bench the last three games, with reserves combining to score 68 points.  Trey McKinney leads the way off the bench, averaging 9.0 points per game.  Miami is 43-125 all-time against ranked teams, including a 14-29 mark when playing against an ACC rival in that situation.  Offensively, the team has displayed balance over the course of the season, with six players leading the way in scoring in a game this season.

Bettors will likely back the Seminoles due to their 6-1-1 ATS mark in Miami, while the Hurricanes are 2-7 ATS as a home favorite of 6.5 points or less.
