The Gators were horrible last week in their first loss of the season to Georgia. They committed six turnovers, which was more than they had in their first seven games combined. The Bulldogs dispatched of the Gators 17-9.
Jeff Driskel was responsible for four of those turnovers, with two fumbles and two interceptions.
“Hopefully I got it out of my system,” Driskel said. “You’ve got to learn from mistakes…learn from them and try not to make the same mistakes again.”
To win the SEC, Florida must now win Saturday and then Mississippi or Auburn must defeat Georgia.
Florida has struggled offensively, and it finally caught up to them. Driskel hasn’t topped 200 yards in his last four outings and he had just 185 in the loss to the Bulldogs. The Gators may be one of the best offensively, but they rank near the bottom fifth in both total offense, and near the very bottom in passing.
Missouri just won their first SEC game of the season and will look to continue the success, despite being 17 point underdogs according to college football oddsmakers.
Mizzou QB James Franklin will be returning from injury and Tigers coach Gary Pinkel said he has “really made great strides” and that “he (has) some confidence playing.”
The Tigers will look to run a lot, too, though. Kendial Lawrence had 108 of the team’s 186 yards in the 33-10 victory over Kentucky.
This is Missouri’s first appearance to Gainesville since 1966.
