With guys like incapable Spencer Bachus fighting against gamblers, the future looks bright for Barney Frank and his supporters.
This is a little late but this is the first time I had the time to sit down and watch the House Financial Services Committee hearing chaired by Congressman Barney Frank on the repeal of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act which took place on Friday, June 8th.
The highlights from the video include supporters of the repeal making intelligent statements backed up by facts, while the opposition continually fumbles the ball making one asinine statement after another.
In watching the video one can see just how screwed up some of our elected officials truly are namely Alabama congressman Spencer Bachus. Bachus at one point starts reading biographies of full tilt poker pros where they state that they started gambling at a young age. Bachus states that I guess the age verification process didn’t work in this case, nevermind the fact that full tilt poker was around nor Internet gambling.
He continues to prove the point that he doesn’t belong in office let alone taking about Internet gambling when engaging with Gerald Kitchen CEO of the Secure Trading Group. Mr. Kitchen states 3 times that the companies he processes payments for doesn’t take payments from online gaming sites that accept US players. Mr. Kitchen must have been caught by surprise at the as he had to have the question repeated after answering Bachus’ question for the first time.
If you decide to only watch some of the video scroll into 1 hour and 22 minutes into the video and you will get to see just how ignorant Mr. Bachus is. For the sake of this country I would hope all voters from Alabama see what an incompetent representative they have instilled in office and recognize that come election time.
