California will seek its first Pac-12 Conference road win on Sunday afternoon in taking on Oregon inside Matthew Knight Arena. The Golden Bears are not alone in terms of losing on the road in conference play, as the home team is 14-2 this year. The team is coming off a 92-85 loss to the Oregon State Beavers. “We got to four with the ball and had a real chance,” commented Golden Bears head coach Mike Montgomery. “Then we turned it over.” California is 7-3 ATS this year when playing a team with a winning record.
The Golden Bears were led by senior guard Jorge Gutierrez, who matched a season high with 26 points against the Beavers. The Ducks are known for having a balanced offense, as six different players have led the team in scoring this season. Ten of the team’s 11 active players have actually reached double-figures in scoring. On the defensive end, Oregon is known for blocking shots, tallying a 5-1 record when registering five or more in a game this season.
