Yes– that’s the headline. Who would have thought it?! That in week 8 of the NFL season the lowly Oakland Raiders and the Super Bowl Championship Pittsburgh Steelers would have the exact same record—2 and 5? Not only that, but Oakland’s second win came against the Steelers! Ouch!

Roethlisberger threw 4 interceptions, two of which were returned for TDs by the Raiders. The final score was 20 to 13 with both of the Raiders’ touchdowns coming in interceptions.

So, anyone think Bill Cowher’s jobs on the line?

Next week Pittsburgh plays the Broncos at home. At least they’ve won 2 games at home. There are three teams in the NFL that have won only one game thus far. The Steelers are one of 9 NFL clubs that have won a mere 2 games. Looking at the rest of Pittsburgh schedule, they will most likely be 7 and 9 (at best) by the end of the season.

Has a NFL team ever fallen so far so quickly?
