Seahawks Saints NFL Preview
The New Orleans Saints have lost five consecutive regular season road games

New Orleans is 1-2 SUATS through three games of the 2014 campaign, as it attempts to build off a 20-9 victory over the Minnesota Vikings as 10-point home favorites last week, while going UNDER the betting total for the first time.  The Saints will be led by signal-caller Drew Brees, which can’t be ignored when looking over the NFL betting lines, as he’s thrown for 14 touchdowns and just two interceptions in capturing four of five games played in this NFC series.  New Orleans is 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS as road favorites of three points or less since 2012.

The Saints should be able to score a good amount of points against a less-than-stellar Cowboys defense, especially with Brees completing 70.9 percent of his passes for 863 yards this season.  New Orleans has fallen in defeat in its last five regular-season road games, but it has triumphed in four of its last five affairs against Dallas in the Lone Star State.  Head coach Sean Payton will try to be balanced in his play calling, as the team rushed for a season-low 108 yards on the ground last week.

Dallas returns home after posting back-to-back SUATS road victories over the Tennessee Titans and St. Louis Rams—scoring 60 combined points in those affairs.  The Cowboys are a bit concerned with quarterback Tony Romo’s back after offseason surgery, as he sat out Wednesday’s practice leading up to this high-profile matchup on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.  He completed just 10 of 24 passes in last year’s 49-17 setback in this series.  Dallas is 10-12 SU and 12-10 ATS with a betting line of +3 to -3 the last two-plus seasons.

The Cowboys are certainly capable of winning this game by featuring DeMarco Murray, who is the NFL’s rushing leader currently with 385 yards, which is important to consider when making your pro football picks.  Dallas has some internal issues due sort through, with the biggest one being cornerback Orlando Scandrick taking over Morris Claiborne’s role after having his suspension reduced for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

Sports bettors will likely back the Cowboys due to their 11-6 ATS mark as underdogs since the start of the 2012 campaign.
