The Seattle Seahawks are 8-1 on the season and will look to improve to 9-1 by notching a victory over Atlanta on the road this Sunday. NFL oddsmakers at 5dimes find the Seahawks to be 4-point favorites against Atlanta, who is 2-2 at home on the season.
Unpredictably, it took overtime for Seattle to take down the lowly Tampa Ba Bucs last week. But the team hasn’t lost since Oct 6 when it fell 34-28 to Indianapolis, and the Seahawks were the favorite at Bovada going into this season to win the Superbowl.
Marshawn Lynch has been a beast as usual, though the featured back isn’t racking up mass yardage on average, with just 4.3 yards per carry on the season. Quarterback Russell Wilson helps contribute to what is still a 6th rated rush offense, as he has 375 yards on the season rushing to go with his 1,845 passing yards.
Atlanta’s offense is a reverse negative of Seattle’s with the focus being primarily on the pass. The Falcons rank 5th in the league in pass yardage per game (289.3) but muster the league’s worst 64.4 rushing yards per game.
The Falcons have dropped five of its past six contests, but it will get some relief next week when traveling to Tampa Bay to take on the staff infected Bucs.
Seattle Trends: OVER 5-1 in last 6 following SU win; OVER 5-1 in last 6 after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in previous game; 5-1 ATS in last 6 in week 10.
Atlanta Trends: OVER 6-0 in last 6 home games; OVER 4-0 in last 4 on turf; UNDER 10-1 in last 11 in NOV.
Head-to-head: OVER 4-0 in last 4 meetings; Underdog 5-2 ATS in last 7 meetings.
