The Washington Wizards are finally starting to gather steam as winners of its past three games and will travel to Indiana to face the Pacers as 6.5 point underdogs for the game which will air at 6 PM Central on NBA League Pass.

Over its three-game win streak the Wizards have knocked off the Orlando Magic, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks, winning by an average of 8.3 points per game. The most recent was the 106-101 win over Milwaukee on Wednesday night as the Wizards placed all five starters in double figures.
All-Star John Wall led the way with 19 points, eight assists and five rebounds in 37 minutes and Washington won despite allowing the Bucks to shoot 52 percent from the floor in the contest.
Wall has averaged 20.2 points, 8.8 assists and four rebounds per game over his past five contests while shooting 43.8 percent fro the floor and 54.5 percent from three-point range (on an average of 4.4 attempts per game). Wall had 17 points, 10 assists and five rebounds in the win over the Bulls and Washington kept Jimmy Butler in check with just 19 points on 6 of 15 shooting. The Wizards were also without Bradley Beal in the ‘W’ over Chicago as Garrett Temple saw the start and did a standout job on Butler.

Wall and Beal have combined to average 38.9 points per game this season, but only Wall is posting a high PER (20.0) and Beal came back from injury to play just 23 minutes in the win over Milwaukee. Beal is shooting 39.2 percent from three-point range this season and constitutes Washington’s best triple threat easily. The Wizards are hoping to get enough from its depth to make a run because it still trails No. 8 Orlando by a full game. Washington is 9-8 on the road this year where it will face the Pacers. Indiana is 13-5 at home this season.
The Pacers have lost two of its past three games. The win came in a 119-97 fashion against the Phoenix Suns as the Pacers built a massive lead in the fourth quarter. Indiana outscored Phoenix 36-21 in the final period and both Paul George and George Hill had big games with 21 and 20 points, respectively.
Paul George shot 6 of 12 from the field and 8 of 8 from the line en route to 21 points and seven rebonds. The 6’9” 220 pound forward is thriving in his fifth season since moving to see more time at the 4-spot, and George is hitting three triples per game while launching them at a 38.5 percent clip.
George has scored 20 points or more in four of the Pacers’ past five games, and in the loss to Boston on Wednesday night he had 23 points, eight rebounds, four assists and a steal in 37 minutes. The Pacers fell 103-94.
