Heat Celtics NBA Game Preview
The Miami Heat are 8-3 ATS when playing on Sunday

Chicago has dropped three of its last four games, including a 97-88 setback to the Toronto Raptors as 2.5-point road underdogs last Friday, while going UNDER the betting total of 188.5.  In the Bulls’ last six losses–all of them have come against opponents that won’t participate in the 2013 NBA playoffs, which is important to consider when looking over the pro basketball odds page.  Chicago is 22-16 ATS on the road, with the OVER going 20-19 in that situation.

The Bulls are 20-19 overall when playing away from the United Center, including a 15-9 mark versus Eastern Conference opponents.  Chicago ended Miami’s 27-game winning streak with a 101-97 victory as 6.5-point home underdogs March 27, while going OVER the total for the first time in the last five meetings of the series.  Over his last 13 games, power forward Carlos Boozer has 11 double-doubles and has averaged 18.6 points and 11.9 rebounds.

Miami has rattled off five wins in a row, including a 109-101 victory over the Boston Celtics as 11.5-point home favorites last Friday, while going OVER the total in three of its last four affairs.  The Heat could notch a team-record 36th home victory Sunday, but they’ve already wrapped up home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.  Forward LeBron James is the player to watch offensively, as he’s average 29.3 points on 65.2 percent shooting in the season series.  Miami is 9-2 SU and 8-3 ATS when playing on Sunday, with the UNDER going 6-5 in that situation.

The Heat are 35-4 overall at AmericanAirlines Arena, which is hard to ignored when making your NBA picks against the spread.  The last defending NBA champion to finish with the best record in the league the following season was the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls.  Miami has captured 38 double-digit wins this season, with 22 of those coming at home and 16 on the road.

Sports bettors will likely back the Heat due to their 4-1 ATS run versus conference rivals, while the Bulls are 2-9 ATS when playing on Sunday.
