The Philadelphia 76ers are 0-5 ATS in their last five games versus Western Conference opponents

Philadelphia has dropped three games in a row, including a 111-98 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers as three-point home underdogs on Sunday, while the OVER is 3-0-1 in the team’s last four contests.  The 76ers are hoping that starting point guard Jrue Holiday can return back to the court, as he’s missed the last two games with a foot injury.  “I gotta see how I react to it,” commented Holiday about playing on Tuesday night.  Philadelphia is 18-9 ATS in December the last two-plus seasons, which makes them dangerous when looking at the pro basketball odds page.

The 76ers are 4-5 on the road this season, which includes a victory in their only such game versus a Western Conference opponent.  Philadelphia snapped a three-game losing streak versus Dallas in a 100-98 victory as three-point home favorites on Nov. 27, but the franchise has lost its last six games in this series when playing in the Lone Star State.  Offensively, the team ranks 26th in the league in scoring 92.5 points per game, which is why it’s important for Holiday to return.

Dallas returns home after losing all three of its games on a recent road trip, including a 114-106 overtime defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves as five-point underdogs on Saturday, while going OVER the total for the fourth time in five contests.  The Mavericks averaged 21.7 turnovers in their last three games.  “To be honest, we’ve done uncharacteristically stupid things,” stated Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle.  Dallas is 3-1 ATS when playing with two days rest this season, something to consider when making your NBA picks against the spread.

The Mavericks are 7-3 at the American Airlines Center this year, including a perfect 5-0 mark versus Eastern Conference foes.  Despite losing the first game of this series, Dallas did manage to have six players finish with double figures in scoring, with center Chris Kaman leading the way with 20 points.  The franchise hasn’t lost four straight games this season.

Sports bettors will likely back the Mavericks due to their 11-5 ATS mark on two days rest, while the 76ers are 0-5 ATS versus Western Conference foes.
