Jimmer Fredette played well in their absence as the former BYU product scored 17 points. His defense was suspect, though, giving up 25 to Courtney Lee.
“We’ve got guys that are normally in the rotation, trying to come in, trying to play frontline teams, NBA players who are starters on other teams,” Kings coach Keith Smart told the league’s official website. “… But you know, you’ve got to fight through it and we will fight through it.”
DeMarcus Cousins has struggled after scoring his career high of 41 against the Suns on Tuesday night. He has scored just 10.7 per game over his past three, and the Kings have won only 5 of 28 road games this season.
