Spread: DEN -12
Total: 202.5

Odds taken from Bookmaker
Denver came out with guns a’blazin’ against the defending champion Mavericks last night and never looked back. The Nuggets put up 115 points, with five players in double figures, and Ty Lawson’s 27 points leading the way. Because of that, and the fact that it is a home game, the total is accordingly set high at 202.5. Remember, Denver scored 8 more points per game at home than they did on the road last season.
Utah started out the season with a horrible loss to the then 0-2 Lakers. Paul Millsap was the only Jazz player to have a decent game and they received a total of 30 points from their entire starting lineup, with no starter reaching double figures.

Key Matchup:
Devin Harris vs. Ty Lawson
At one point, Devin Harris was what Ty Lawson is now: a young point guard with a seemingly endless array of moves and unlimited potential. Things never really panned out for Harris. He’s put together a number of quailty seasons but has ye to experience any real success as a pro and besides being dealt for Jason Kidd, has had a career devoid of fanfare. Lawson’s success goes back to his UNC days when he played the entire NCAA tournament with turf toe and dominated. His scoring ability is unquestionable and look for Lawson to try to find a way to wear Harris out. Between Lawson and Andre Miller, expect Utah’s backcourt to be overmatched this entire game, and it begins with Lawson’s scoring.
