Well, that was a noncompetitive 2007 Final Series (4 games) between the San Antonio Spurs and the… who was that? Oh, yeah, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Here’s the scoop on trades—the Lakers Kobe Bryant to somewhere?
Minnesota’s Kevin Garnett to somewhere else?
Bryant, according to ESPN The Magazine’s Ric Bucher, wants to go to either Dallas, Phoenix of Chicago. But it’s doubtful that the Lakers would trade him within the Western Conference, so Bryant is actually making the Bulls his destination.
The skinny is Bryant will continue complaining and being petulant until the Lakers finally relent and send him to the team of his choice. He can’t send him anywhere else because he has a no trade clause.
Garnett could go to the Suns or the Celtics. Nash and Garnett would be dynamite, while Pierce and Garnett in Celtic green would be impressive. Garnett knows Nash well. Garnett will most likely end up in Phoenix. Bryant in Chicago with both changing the balance of power and the Lakers and Wolves going into rebuild mode.
