Houston travels to Orlando, FL, to play in a game between The American Athletic Conference leaders, while also trying to improve upon its 7-1 SUATS record through eight contests of the 2013 season. The Cougars have scored in all 32 quarters this season—the only FBS team to score in every quarter played. The team leads the country with a plus-20 turnover margin and 29 turnovers gained, with the defense forcing opponents to make multiple miscues in 15 consecutive games. Houston is 3-0 SUATS on the road this season, with the OVER cashing in each of those opportunities.
The Cougars are led offensively by quarterback John O’Korn, who paces all true freshen in the country with 22 passing touchdowns and an efficiency rating of 163.5. Houston has outscored its opponents by a 158-59 margin in the final 30 minutes of games this year. Defensively, linebacker Efrem Oliphant is the player to watch, as he leads the team with 78 tackles, nine tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.
UCF comes off its second bye week of the season and looks to extend its winning streak to four games, as it was last seen picking up a 62-17 blowout victory over the Connecticut Huskies as 24-point home favorites on Oct. 26. The Knights have compiled a 23-10 all-time record on Homecoming, including victories in their last four tries in that situation. Offensively, the team is trying to be the first in school history to post at least 20 points in its first eight games, with junior quarterback Blake Bortles leading the charge. UCF is 3-2 SUATS following a week off the last two-plus seasons, wit hthe UNDER going 4-1 in those five opportunities.
The Knights rank fifth in the FBS in turnover margin, which is important to consider when making your college football betting picks, especially when facing the Cougars. UCF entered the year with just eight seniors on its roster, which was the second-fewest in all of college football, but the locker room has really come together under head coach George O’Leary. He has led the program to its first win over a Big Ten Conference and Top 10 squad in 2013.
Sports bettors will likely back the Knights due to their 5-0 ATS mark in their last five home games.
