Kevin Jones and West Virginia open Big East play at home against the Villanova Wildcats Wednesday night. The Mountaineers are 8 point favorites.

After several years of being one of the elite teams in the Big East, Villanova is in a rebuilding year under coach Jay Wright. The Mountaineers have wins over Oral Roberts, Kansas St, Miami-Florida, and Missouri St in Las Vegas. Villanova leads the series 22-19 all time against West Virginia. The Wildcats won the last meeting 66-50 last February.
