NC State has dropped three consecutive games, including a 30-14 defeat to Boston College as 2.5-point home favorites last week, while getting out-gained by a sizable 194-yard margin.  Despite struggling on offense the past two weeks, the Wolfpack still rank fourth in the Atlantic Coast Conference in third down conversions, which is important to consider when looking over the college football betting lines.  One of the main reasons for that success is the offensive line playing together for three entire ball games in a row.  NC State is 1-5 SU and 3-2-1 ATS as underdogs of 10.5 to 21 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Wolfpack need to get a major performance from dual-threat signal-caller Jacoby Brissett, as he ranks fifth in the ACC in averaging 245.9 yards of total offense, while Matt Dayes sits behind just three players in the conference in gaining 119.4 all-purpose yards a contest.  With 1,318 yards on the ground and 1,581 through the air, the team is the third-most balanced unit in the league.

Louisville had its three-game win streak snapped in suffering a 23-17 setback to the Clemson Tigers as 8.5-point road underdogs, while going UNDER the betting total for a fifth consecutive affair.  The Cardinals sit behind just two teams in giving up just 14.1 points per game, but their stop unit has allowed just 78 of 99 points allowed to this point.    The program’s defense hasn’t allowed a touchdown in its last 17 quarters of action dating back to Sept. 13.  Louisville is 10-1 SU and 5-6 ATS as favorites of 10.5 to 21 points since 2012.

The Cardinals have won 21 straight games at home with Bobby Petrino on the sidelines, as part of that streak came during his time on campus from 2003-06.  Louisville needs to get the ball in the hands of sophomore wide receiver James Quick, who leads the squad with 29 receptions for 449 yards and is tied for the team lead with three touchdowns.

Sports bettors will likely back the Cardinals due to their 12-1 ATS mark in their last 13 games after accumulating less than 275 total yards of offense in their previous contest.
