Michigan has won three games in a row, including a 42-17 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes as 17-point home favorites, while going OVER the total for a third consecutive contest.  The Wolverines have lost five consecutive road games against the Buckeyes, but did come away with a 40-34 win as 8.5-point home favorites in last year’s meeting.  “It’s going to be fun,” stated Wolverines head coach Brady Hoke.  Michigan has gone 2-8 ATS as an underdog since 2010, which is an important angle to handicap when making your Week 13 college football picks against the spread.

The Wolverines rank first in the country in allowing just 152.2 passing yards per game, while sitting 12th in total defense.  Michigan is 18-0 under Hoke’s direction when scoring 20 or more points, while going 1-5 when score less than that number.  Over the last three games, the team has scored 16 offensive touchdowns, with eleven of those coming on scoring drives of 75-plus yards.  Devin Gardner figures to be under center for his fourth consecutive start, while Denard Robinson will line up at running back and wide receiver.

Ohio State has wins in eight of the last 10 games in this rivalry, as it still has a shot of winning the Associated Press national title despite not being eligible to play in a bowl game this year.  “I think this is just a pure, intense rivalry,” commented Buckeyes first-year head coach Urban Meyer.  “It doesn’t matter who’s undefeated.”  He has guided six of his 11 teams to 10-or-more win seasons, while compiling a dominating 115-23 record over that period of time.  Ohio State is 5-2 ATS versus conference opponents this year.

The Buckeyes will have 21 seniors making their final appearance inside Ohio State, as they’ve managed to win their last 11 games, which is the 15th winning streak in school history of 10-or-more games.  Ohio State has started to put things together on the defensive end, limiting its last four opponents to just 14.2 points per game.  Quarterback Braxton Miller has 3,064 yards of total offense this season, which is the third-best mark in single-season history at the school.

Sports bettors will likely back the Buckeyes due to their 5-0 ATS mark in the series, while the Wolverines are 5-15 ATS in November.
