The Oklahoma Sooners are 22-7 ATS in their last 29 games following a SU loss

Iowa State has lost six games in a row, including a 21-17 setback to the TCU Horned Frogs as seven-point home underdogs last Saturday, while losing the statistical battle for a fifth consecutive contest.  The Cyclones have lost 14-straight games to the Sooners, which is important to consider when making your college football predictions in Week 12.  The team has dropped five games by a one-possession score during the 2013 campaign, but has also sent out eight different starting lineups on the offensive line in nine games.  Iowa State is 3-0 ATS as an underdog of 21.5 to 31 points the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 3-0 in that situation.

The Cyclones have enjoyed success inside the red zone this season, as they’ve scored on 23-of-24 opportunities, which paces the Big 12 Conference and ranks fourth nationally.  Iowa State is 17-169-2 SU all-time versus ranked opponents, including a 6-86-1 mark on the road.  Head coach Paul Rhoads has enjoyed some success in these situations, with three of the school’s six wins versus top-25 opponents when playing away from Ames.

Oklahoma had its two-game winning streak snapped last time out, as it suffered a 41-12 blowout loss to the Baylor Bears as 17-point road underdogs last Thursday, while going UNDER the betting total of 74.5.  The Sooners were out-gained by a significant 222-yard margin in that affair, which is important to consider when looking over the college football odds page.  Offensively, the team is sticking with quarterback Blake Bell, but the program’s faithful fan base is calling for backup Kendal Thompson.  Oklahoma is 22-7 ATS in its last 29 games following a SU loss.

The Sooners aren’t going to play for the national title this year, while they’ve also lost six games by 14 or more points over the last five seasons, with three of them coming in the last 16 outings.  Oklahoma will likely put together a bounce-back effort in this matchup, considering it holds a dominating 69-5-2 all-time lead in this particular series.

Sports bettors will likely back the Cyclones due to the Sooners being 1-5 ATS in their last six conference games.
