Clemson bounced back from its first loss of the season by picking up a 40-27 victory over the Maryland Terrapins as 16.5-point road favorites last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total for a second consecutive contest. The Tigers have won seven consecutive games away from home, as they attempt to put together their first eight-game winning streak in that situation since 1978-79. The program has also won 15 straight games against unranked teams by a double-digit margin, which is hard to ignored when making your college football betting picks in Week 10. Clemson is 10-0 SU and 6-3-1 ATS as a favorite of 10.5 to 21 points the last two-plus seasons.
The Tigers have won 18 of their last 21 games with the only losses coming to teams that were in the Top 12 nationally at the time of the contest. Clemson holds a commanding 37-8-1 lead in the series with Virginia, but the two teams are tied 8-8-1 since 1990. Senior quarterback Tajh Boyd returns to his home state for the final time as a member of the program, as he looks to improve upon his perfect 3-0 record in that situation.
Virginia is facing Clemson for the first time since 2009, as it looks to end a five-game losing streak that dates back to Sept. 28, while going OVER the betting total in four of those contests. The Cavaliers are 2-12-1 SU all-time against Tigers teams, including a 1-6 mark at Scott Stadium—something to consider important when looking over the college football odds page. Virginia is 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS as underdogs of 10.5 to 21 points the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 3-2 in those five opportunities.
The Cavaliers have one of the more youthful rosters in college football, with just eight seniors on the roster, which is tied for the second-fewest in that particular category. Virginia is led offensively by the play of running back Kevin Parks, who has rushed for 1,443 yards during his first two seasons with the school.
Sports bettors will likely play the total, as the UNDER is 4-0 in the last four meetings at this venue.
