Missouri has won back-to-back games since its season-opening loss, including a 78-64 victory over Oral Roberts as six-point home favorites last time out, as it knocked down 25-of-49 shots from the floor. The Tigers will be led by sophomore guard Wes Clark in taking part in the EA Sports Maui Invitational, which can’t be ignored when making your college basketball predictions, as he’s put together three-straight double-digit scoring games to start the 2014-15 campaign. Missouri is 4-0 ATS in its last four games versus Pac-12 Conference opponents.
The Tigers have eight newcomers joining three letterwinners from last year’s squad, which is important to consider when looking over the college basketball odds, as their still trying to replace Jabari Brown, Jordan Clarkson and Earnest Ross—a trio that combined to average 51.4 points, 14.2 assists and 6.7 rebounds. Missouri is one of the most inexperienced teams in the country, as it returned just 22 percent of its scoring and 13 percent of its output from beyond the arc from last year’s 23-12 team.
Arizona has opened up the season with a 3-0 SU and 1-2 ATS record, as it leaves the Grand Canyon State for the first time after hosting three opponents inside the McKale Center. The Wildcats own a 15-4 SU record in in-season tournaments under head coach Sean Miller, while they’ve captured 23 of 36 games when playing on a neutral floor during his time on campus. The program has played 23 non-conference games against major-conference teams during the Miller era—posting a 14-9 SU mark in that situation. Arizona is 1-4 ATS in its last five games when playing at a neutral site.
The Wildcats’ 116 victories since the start of the 2010-11 season is the most among Pac-12 teams and tied for the ninth-best total nationally. Arizona has won the rebounding battle in every contest this season, with center Kaleb Tarczewski leading the way at 7.0 per contest. Three players are currently averaging double figures in scoring, with sophomore forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson leading the way at 16.0 per game.
Sports bettors will likely play the total, as the UNDER is 9-1 in the Tigers’ last 10 games versus non-conference foes.
