Kansas is fresh off its thrilling 87-86 overtime victory against the Missouri Tigers on Saturday afternoon, which served as the team’s sixth-straight victory. The Jayhawks overcame a 19-point second-half deficit to clinch at least a share of their eighth consecutive Big 12 Conference regular-season title. “For this team to come as far as it has, I’m not an emotional guy, but that’s about as good as it gets,” commented Jayhawks head coach Bill Self. The team averages 75.0 points per game and allows 61.2 for a +13.8 scoring margin. Kansas is 2-3 ATS as a road favorite of 9.5 to 12 points the last two-plus years.
The Jayhawks are led by national player of the year candidate Thomas Robinson, who is the only player in the Big 12 to average a double-double with 17.8 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. He finished with 28 points and 12 rebounds in the thrilling win over the Tigers. Kansas owns a 105-53 record in its all-time series with Oklahoma State, including a 33-31 mark in Stillwater. Since this particular conference was formed, the Jayhawks are 16-6, including wins in 12 of 16 games during regular-season play.
Oklahoma State will be playing its final home game of the regular season on Monday inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Cowboys are coming off a dominating 60-42 win over the Texas A&M Aggies as 3.5-point home favorites, while going “under” the total for the first time in five games. The roster has been thinned by injuries and long minutes, but head coach Travis Ford is still motivating his squad. “I told our guys that everybody is going to have to do something more,” he stated after the latest win. Oklahoma State is 7-0 ATS when revenging a road loss versus an opponent this year.
The Cowboys are led by senior Keiton Page, who is averaging 16.2 points per game this season. He is the conference’s active leader in career three-pointers made with 277. Oklahoma State sits in seventh place in the league standings, but could mathematically finish as high as fifth. Markel Brown is another player to watch on the offensive end, averaging 10.7 points per game, while being second on the team in rebounds and steals.
Bettors will likely back the Cowboys due to their 38-16-3 ATS mark in their last 57 home games, while the Jayhawks are 2-6-1 ATS following a straight-up win.
