Colorado is 7-1 for the first time since the 2005-06 campaign, as it comes off a 70-61 victory over the Colorado State Rams as four-point home favorites. The Buffaloes lost their only true road game of the season this year, which could make them a play against when looking over the college basketball odds page. “It’s going to make Wyoming look like a cakewalk in terms of the atmosphere,” stated Buffaloes head coach Tad Boyle. Colorado is 2-8 ATS in its last 10 Saturday games.
The Buffaloes are led by sophomore guard Spencer Dinwiddie, who became the first player within the program to tally three-straight 20-point efforts since the 2010-11 season. Junior forward Andre Roberson is the other player to watch, considering he’s put together four-straight double-doubles in averaging 15.0 points and 12.8 rebounds per game in that span. Boyle is 0-3 as a head coach against his alma mater, but it’s an important angle to make note of.
Kansas returns home to host former Big Seven, Big Eight and Big 12 Conference foe Colorado, as it earned an 84-78 win over Oregon State as 12-point neutral-site favorites last time out. The final score was much closer than it should have been, considering the Jayhawks shot a season-high 60 percent from the floor and limited their opponent to 40.6 percent shooting. In winning six of its first seven games of the season, the team has outscored its opponents by an average of 14.3 points per game. Kansas is 4-1 ATS in its last five games versus Pac-12 Conference foes.
The Jayhawks are 122-39 all-time against the Buffaloes, including a 28-game win streak when meeting up in Allen Fieldhouse. Kansas was a dominating 31-1 versus Colorado when playing as Big 12 rivals. In the Bill Self era, the program has won 15 of 19 games versus Pac-12 schools, including victories in the last 10 meetings.
Sports bettors will likely back the Buffaloes due to their 6-2 ATS mark on the road versus a team with a winning home record, while the Jayhawks are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games.
