The New Orleans Saints have lost numerous close games during the 2014 NFL season

Cincinnati had its two-game win streak snapped last time out, as it dropped a 24-3 decision to the Cleveland Browns as 6.5-point home favorites on Nov. 6, while getting out-gained by 203 yards.  The Bengals need Andy Dalton to bounce back from one of his worst career starts as a professional, which is important to consider when making your Week 11 NFL betting picks, as he completed just 10-of-33 passes for 86 yards and three picks in his last contest.  Cincinnati is 1-3 SUATS as underdogs of 3.5 to 9.5 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Bengals still occupy the second spot in the AFC North standings, which can’t be ignored when looking over the NFL betting lines, but they were absolutely embarrassed in their last two road games against the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots.  Cincinnati will play without the services of No. 1 running back Giovani Bernard, which means that rookie Jeremy Hill will need to step up once again—gaining 209 rushing yards on 5.8 per carry in the last two games.

New Orleans continues to lose close games during the 2014 campaign, as it stays home after dropping a 27-24 overtime decision to the San Francisco 49ers as six-point favorites at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.  The Saints are still one of the more explosive teams in the league offensively, but star signal-caller Drew Brees has thrown 10 untimely interceptions.  Despite his miscues, the team is second in the league in averaging 435.0 total yards per contest.  New Orleans is 10-7 SU and 8-9 ATS as favorites of 3.5 to 9.5 points the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 9-8 in those 17 opportunities.

The Saints have been unable to hold onto fourth-quarter leads in four of their five setbacks, as they’ve turned the ball over 18 times through nine overall games.  New Orleans will try to target tight end Jimmy Graham downfield, as he enters this non-conference matchup with 56 catches for 594 yards and seven touchdowns.

Sports bettors will likely play the total, as the OVER is 4-0 in the Bengals’ last four games following a SU loss.
