As I sit here thinking about the tournament, and about the sports betting world in general, here are 10 questions that are bouncing through my mind:

1. Can Western Kentucky be remotely competitive against UCLA? – Their center is Jeremy Evans, a 6’9″ sophomore who weighs in at a whopping 190 pounds. Kevin Love is taller and 70 pounds heavier. I think I fear for Evans’ life.

While inspecting cars for the Toyota/Save Mart 350, officials caught Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson with illegal body modifications designed to give each of their cars an edge. The inspections happened on Friday morning. Neither was allowed to practice on Friday, but both were allowed to hit the track on Saturday.

There will be a lot written and produced about basketball legend Red Auerbach in the coming days. The Celtics will dedicate this season to him and there will be innumerable tributes. For years Auerbach held the record for season wins (938) and playoff wins (99) by a coach. In season wins, he’s been passed by Lenny Wilkins (1332), Larry Brown (1239), Don Nelson (1190), Pat Riley (1151), Jerry Sloan (984) and Bill Fitch (944). Phil Jackson (179), Pat Riley (179) and Larry Brown (120) have all passed him in playoff wins.
