Game 7 is here, and it’s time to evaluate the prop bets. I expect the Celts to come out and take this, and Pierce and Garnett should be the main reasons why. As I indicate, Rondo should be looking to dish a lot, and that will help his assists, while mitigating his scoring efforts. Let’s take a look at that and the rest of the prop bets for tonight’s game…
Jrue Holiday 14 pts
OVER. Holiday scored 20 last game on 7 of 14 shooting and is going to look for a big game in game 7. What worries me is that he performs poorly on two days rest, averaging only 10 ppg. Still, I like the over here, and expect Holiday to barely beat it with 15 or 16.
Andre Iguodala 13 pts
UNDER. Iggy has averaged 10 ppg over his last two and has shot a dismal 7 of 21 from the floor in those two games.
Andre Iguodala Rebs + Asts 10.5
UNDER. Again, Iggy has gone under the last two games, with 9 combined and 8 combined in games 5 and 6.
Evan Turner 11.5 pts
Staying away from this. His average over the last two games? 11.5. Plus, as I have said before about Turner, he is still too inconsistent to give these prop bets much value.
Louis Williams 11.5 pts
Staying away from this too. He’s averaged under for the last two games, but put up 11 last game, and I think 11.5 is reasonable.
Paul Pierce 20 pts
OVER. Pierce scored 24 last game and averages 22 ppg on two days rest. He’s an older player so the two days off will make a big difference. I think Pierce blows up tonight.
Kevin Garnett 18.5 pts
OVER. He’s scored 20 in each of the last two games, and I expect Garnett to show up big time in this game 7. He’s struggled in the four games he’s had two days rest in (16 ppg), but this is game 7 and it’s at home, and KG is a vet. He’ll have a big one.
Rajon Rondo 14.5 pts
UNDER. Rondo has been under the past two games and I expect him to focus his efforts on setting up Pierce and Garnett. I think he scores 12 or 13 tonight.
Rajon Rondo 13.5 asts
OVER. For the same reason I don’t think he’ll score more than 14.5, I do think he’ll get a lot of assists tonight. The Celts should win this, and Rondo’s scoring won’t be why, it will be his dimes.
