Let’s take a look at the prop betting in tonight’s Lakers-Thunder game. There are a few I am staying away from, but some great value given the recent play of Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant both.
Kobe Bryant 28.5 pts
OVER. This one is pretty easy. Unless the Lakers roll over and die in the first quarter, Kobe is going to have a big game. He’s scored 38 & 36 the last two games, but had a pair of 20 point games before that. Still, I think Kobe puts up 30+ tonight.
Andrew Bynum 18 pts
Staying away from this one. Bynum has averaged 18.25 points this series, and scored 18 last game. I don’t see any value in this bet.
Andrew Bynum 11.5 rebs
Same as above. After falling below 11.5 the last three games, I would be tempted to go with the under, but prior to that he had 14, 18, 16 in the first game of this series and the last two of the Denver series. Leave this one.
Pau Gasol Rebs + Asts 26.5
UNDER. I don’t see how he can get anywhere close to this figure. He hasn’t had a game this big the entire playoffs.
Kevin Durant 28 pts
OVER. Durant has scored 31 in each of the last two games, and is getting up enough shots finally (20.5 over the last two). He’s going to have to hope Westbrook doesn’t get too trigger happy though…
Russell Westbrook 24.5 pts
OVER. I know it runs contrary to logic to expect Durant and Westbrook to BOTH have huge games, but Westbrook is playing very aggressively, not to mention that he scored 37 last game.
Russell Westbrook Rebs + Asts 10.5
UNDER. Westbrook doesn’t seem to combine both good passing nights and good scoring nights often. He’s averaging only 3.3 assists per game over the last three.
James Harden 16.5 pts
UNDER. Because I think both Westbrook and Durant are going to have huge games, Harden may suffer. He scored only 12 last game and shot 2 of 11. He hasn’t shot over 40% from the floor in a single game this series, either.
Serge Ibaka Rebs + Blks 10
I’m going to leave this one too. Ibaka had only 9 combined last game, but 14 the game before that. Just too inconsistent.
