I took most of the year off prop betting after having a very successful 10-11 campaign. I’m going to give it a whirl here in the playoffs, and we’ll begin with tonight’s game between the Celtics and Sixers. I figure Pierce and Garnett will show up huge tonight.
Bets are taken from Bovada.lv
Andre Iguodala 13.5 pts
Over. Iguodala has scored 19, 13, 10, and 16 through the first four games of the series, and he had 20 in the final game of the Bulls series. The Sixers need Iguodala to step up in this game, and he’s one of the most experienced players on the team. I would expect 14-15 tonight.
Andre Iguodala Rebs + asts: 11
OVER. He has been 11 or over in 3 of the 4 games this series, and I think Iggy has a big one tonight.
Lou Williams 12.5 pts
OVER. On 2 days rest this year, Lou Williams is averaging nearly 15 points per game. Also, he has played well the last two games, averaging 14.0 ppg. He struggled badly in games one and two, but I expect Williams to come out with a big game tonight. He hasn’t had a big one since May 1st against the Bulls when he put up 20.
Jrue Holiday Pts + asts: 18.5
UNDER. Holiday only averages 10 ppg and 4.7 apg versus the Celtics and he went under last game with 18 total pts + acts. He also only saw 31 minutes last game due to foul trouble, but that could have been an anomaly.
Evan Turner: 11.5 pts
I’m staying away from this one because Turner has just been too inconsistent. His game log is all over the place and he will either have another big game like last game’s 16 point, 9 rebound effort, or put up 4, as he has already done twice this post season.
Paul Pierce: 19.5 pts
I think Pierce steps up in this big home game. I don’t even think it’s a question as to whether he scores 20, because he may go for 30.
Kevin Garnett Pts + Rebs: 27.5
OVER. KG has had two monster games this series, one very good one, and then last game’s decent performance. I think he follows up last game’s 3 of 12 performance with another big one like in game 3 when he shot 12 of 17 from the floor. KG is still a high percentage shooter and he’s going to find a way to have another big game when the Celts need it most.
Rajon Rondo: 14.5 pts
UNDER. Rondo has scored under 14 in 2 of the 4 games, and really last game was about the most we can expect, at 15. He scored 23 in game three, but the entire Celtics team went nuts that night and put up 107. This game will not be that high scoring. It’s a little risky, but I still like the under.
Rajon Rondo: 13 asts
Staying away, 13 sounds deadly accurate.
Ray Allen: 11.5 pts
UNDER. Where has Ray Allen gone? He’s taken only 7 shots in the last two games and has become close to irrelevant lately. I think Allen throws out another stinker tonight, and that’s coming from a Ray Allen fan.
