No. 12 Michigan is 8-2 and 5-1 in Big Ten play, hoping for the right set of circumstances to find itself in the Big Ten championship game. The Wolverines find itself 3.5 point favorites over hosting 7-3 Penn State in action Saturday 11 AM CT on ABC.

Michigan has won three straight since losing 27-23 to Michigan State. With victories over Minnesota, Rutgers and Indiana, the Wolverines should have good momentum. The team has not lost on the road since its Week 1 loss to Utah. Jake Rudock has been very good. The 6’3” senior has thrown for 2,220 yards at a 64.2 percent clip. On the road he averages about the same as at home, but he has thrown a higher percentage of interceptions with six in 142 passes.
In the month of November Rudock has been very good, completing 71.8 percent of his passes with a 10.94 yard per attempt average and a 198.1 passer rating. Last week in the 48-41 double OT win over Indiana he had 440 yards on 33 of 46 passing with six TD passes and just one INT in the game. He also rushed for 64 yards on seven attempts, while De’Veon Smith rushed for 58 yards on 12 carries.
Jehu Chesson had a huge game with 10 catches for 207 yards and four TDs. Amara Darboh and Jake Butt caught or another combined 191 yards while each scored a TD.
Chesson has 466 yards and a team-high seven receiving TDs, while Darboh leads the team in yardage with 567 and a team-high 45 receptions. He has four TDs on the year, and Butt is good for another 500 yards and two TDs. Smith has done the majority of the work in the backfield with 582 yards on 132 attempts this season.

Penn State has gone 2-2 over its past four games with losses to ranked Ohio State and Northwestern and victories over Maryland and Illinois. The Nittany Lions fell 23-21 to Northwestern last week, as Northwestern kicker Jack Mitchell hit a 35-yard field goal with nine seconds to go.
Christian Hackenberg has been disappointing this season and he threw 21 of 40 for 205 yards with no TDs and one INT, accumulating a poor passer rating of 21.4. Saquon Barkley rushed for 120 yards on 25 carries with two TDs. Geno Lewis threw a 32 yard reception for Penn State and the WR caught two passes for 15 yards as well. Chris Godwin led the team in receiving yards with 104 on eight catches.
Hackenberg is completing just 54.2 percent of his passes this year with 1,992 yards, 13 TDs and three INTs. Barkley has rushed for 836 yards with a 6.3 yard per attempt average. He leads the Nittany Lions in rushing TDs with seven of the team’s 15 total. Godwin leads the team in receiving yards (808) and total receptions (49).
