The Cincinnati Bengals look to rebound from their tough Monday night loss to the Steelers when travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts. Indy started as an 8 point home favorite, but the line has been pulled down to 7 points at most sites. The squares are playing the Colts at better than 2:1, which means the sharps are backing the Bengals in this contest. The public always seems to back the Colts, and this week is no different. But consider fading this public favorite and taking the Bengals with the points. 5 Dimes and SportBet are still posting the opening number, so get the extra value if you can.
It’s hard to not feel bad for the Buffalo Bills. They’ve played much better in recent weeks. They took Baltimore and Kansas City to overtime before losing, and last week they lost to Chicago by a field goal. They’re hoping to get into the win column this week as they host the Detroit Lions.
The big news of the week, of course, is the eligibility of Heisman frontrunner, Cam Newton. The Auburn athletic director has declined to comment on Newton’s status for the game against Georgia. If the Tigers don’t have Newton for this game or the game against Alabama next week, the race for the national championship game gets much more interesting.
The Utah Utes travel to South Bend to battle the Notre Dame Fighting Irish this Saturday afternoon. The Utes are coming off a humiliating home loss to TCU, while Notre Dame had its bye this past week.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are still playing for a BCS bowl, and maybe another trip to Pasadena. They host the Penn State Nittany Lions this Saturday afternoon in the Horseshoe in the hopes of keeping those dreams alive.

A number of lines have seen some serious movement this week. Of course, the Auburn/Georgia game has been brought down for reasons that have been well documented. Florida/South Carolina has moved due to Marcus Lattimore’s bum knee. Here’s a rundown of some intriguing line moves. Make sure you check out our college football lines page for live point spreads to see which lines have moved the most so you know where value is for this Saturday.
1. Baltimore Ravens, 6-2 (3) – The Ravens make it up to the top of our rankings after handing the Dolphins their first road loss of the season. The Raven defense bounced back after their flop against Buffalo. They play the Falcons this Thursday in one of the best games of week 10.
How bad are the Cowboys? After getting embarrassed in Green Bay, Jerry Jones finally dropped the ax on Wade Phillips. It feels like Brad Childress will soon be joining Phillips in the ranks of the unemployed. Problems are mounting in Minnesota, and once a head coach loses the respect of his players, it’s all over. One more misstep by Childress and he’s gone. And what about the Browns? They smoked the Pats at home.
1. Oregon Ducks, 9-0 (1) – It took a while for Oregon to get into their game with Washington, but the Ducks eventually throttled the Jake Locker-less Huskies. The offense continues to be the most potent in the country. They have a potentially dangerous game against the Golden Bears. It’s always tough to play at Cal. Last week: Defeated Washington, 53-16. This week: at California, (5-4).
