The Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys meet up in Cowboy Stadium this Sunday afternoon. The game will give bettors an indication about where the Cowboys are at, and whether or not Tennessee has the weapons to be a contender in the AFC.  Dallas opened as a 7 point home favorite, and the line has been steady all week. Currently, 5 Dimes and SportBet are up to 7 ½ points, but others are sticking with the opening number. The squares are slightly favoring the Titans at 55% we also like the Titans as one of our Week 5 NFL Picks.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers, 3-1 (1) – The Steelers lost at home to the Ravens, and any other year that’d be enough to unseat the top team in a power rankings poll. But this year is different. Parity is the norm. No team is decidedly better than the rest. The Steelers have been very good, and they’ve done it without Ben Roethisberger. He’s back now, so the Steelers stay #1.

Oregon keeps shooting up our top 25 power rankings each and every week
1. Alabama Crimson Tide, 5-0 (1) – The Crimson Tide is clearly the best team in the country. They had a hiccup against Arkansas, but followed that up with a thorough thrashing of a talented Florida squad. The ‘Bama defense played tremendous at the goal line. The offense did what it wanted against a top-notch defense. It’s hard to imagine this team losing, but then again, they should’ve lost to Arkansas. They get Steve Spurrier and South Carolina this week. Last week: Defeated Florida, 31-6. This week: at South Carolina (3-1).

Week 5 NFL Odds & Lines

The NFL seems to have its most competitive season yet. Parity is the norm, and no one team is head and shoulders above the rest. Pittsburgh looked to be the early season favorite, but they couldn’t handle the Ravens at home. Indy had played great football the past two weeks, but lost to the hapless Jags on a last second, 59 yard field goal. And the defending champs nearly lost another home game, this time to the Panthers and their rookie quarterback, Jimmy Clausen.
