This Sunday the Dallas Cowboys head into Giants’ Stadium favored by 3.5 points. Their job is to take on Eli Manning, Tiki Barber and company. Manning has been having a tough time during the second half of the season. He has not been able to correct his erratic play that has included poor decision making and off target passes.

It is the Big East game of the season– #13 Rutgers (10-1, 5- 1 Big East) versus #15 West Virginia (9- 2, 4- 2 Big East). What’s at stake is a BCS Bowl bid. If Rutgers wins they will go to either the Orange, Sugar or Rose Bowl. That’s all that there is to it. Even if #6 Louisville (10- 1, 5- 1 Big East) beats Connecticut (4- 7, 1- 5 Big East) on Saturday, which they should, the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers will still win the Big East title by virtue of their win over Louisville 28- 25 on November 9th.

If you’re looking at tonight’s big game as Brady Vs. Manning, then you’ve bought into the hype of the moment. First, there is no Brady Vs. Manning contest, unless you think that regular season stats equal greatness. Most years, except last, Manning has outmatched Brady in the stat area. But who went to the Super Bowl and won it? Last season, neither did. In previous years, only Brady has gone to the big game and won all three of them. To me the case is closed—Brady is superior. He manages to rise into the occasion more often than not in the big game and put his team into a position to win.

In the Big 12, there’s a major match up between the 18th ranked Oklahoma Sooners (6- 2) and the 22nd ranked Texas A & M Aggies (8- 1). Presently, the surprising Aggies are 4- 1 and in second place in the Big 12 South, with Texas in the number one position. The Sooners are right behind their opponents of the day with a 3- 1 conference grade.

The #5 Louisville Cardinals dispatched the #3 West Virginia Mountaineers 44- 34 by returning a fumble and a punt for two touchdowns in the third quarter. The Mountaineers were is disarray for les than four minutes, but that all that the Louisville defense and special teams needed to dash the Mountaineers BCS hopes and to raise their own team into a first place tie with the # 14 Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
