Arizona will look to put an end to its four-game losing streak, as it comes off a 24-3 setback to the San Francisco 49ers as seven-point home underdogs, while the UNDER has cashed in each game during that span.  The Cardinals have really fallen on hard times after starting the 2012 campaign with a perfect 4-0 record.  “My biggest sense is that I feel like I’ve let our fans down,” commented Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt.  Arizona is 0-2 ATS as an underdog of 3.5 to 9.5 points this year, with the UNDER cashing in both of those affairs.

The Cardinals enter the second half of the season with an even 4-4 record, as they continue to look for more from their offensive unit.  Arizona will be led by quarterback John Skelton once again, who comes off career highs with 32 completions and 52 attempts against the 49ers.  On the other side of the ball, the team ranks fourth in the NFL in pass defense, while entering fourth with 26 sacks.

Green Bay remains home for a second straight week and will look to extend its winning streak to four games.  The Packers have won 22 of their last 26 regular-season games, which is the best record in all of football in that given span.  It’s important to note that this team may be extremely short-handed in this affair, as the roster looks forward to a bye week.  “The injuries are part of the game,” commented Packers head coach Mike McCarthy.  Since 1994, the franchise is 13-5 in games heading into a week off.  Green Bay is 1-3 ATS at home this season.

The Packers have averaged 31.5 points per game at home since the 2009 campaign, scoring 30-plus points in 13 of 28 opportunities in that span.  On the other side of the ball, Green Bay has caused a tremendous amount of miscues from the other team, resulting in an incredible plus-40 turnover ratio in that period.  Through Week 8, the defense is tied for the league lead in sacks.  Quarterback Aaron Rodgers continues to put up big numbers, ranking second in the NFL with a 107.9 passer rating.

Sports bettors will likely back the Cardinals due to their 8-3 ATS mark after a double-digit home loss, while the favorite is 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in this series.
