Cowboys Stadium will host Super Bowl XLV in February and the Dallas Cowboys hope to make it a home game. Their first step on the road home comes in a Sunday Night Football game at Washington. The Redskins are a changed outfit from the team that slumped to a 4-12 finish in 2009. With Mike Shanahan on the sideline and Donovan McNabb under center, fans in Washington have cause for hope. That hope will only get them so far against this loaded Cowboys’ offense. When Tony Romo calls for the snap he can throw the ball to Jason Witten, Miles Austin, or Dez Bryant. Failing that he can hand off to Marion Barber, Felix Jones, or Tashard Choice. That is what you call an arsenal. Look for the Cowboys to light it up on Sunday night. With Anquan Boldin and TJ Houshmandzadeh joining, the Ravens have the makings of a contender in 2010. For all the new talent in Baltimore, I like the Jets to make home advantage count. Week 1 comes to a close with the second Monday Night Football game. Kansas City is looking to pull off an upset against the visiting Chargers. San Diego may not have LaDainian Tomlinson or Antonio Cromartie anymore but these Bolts are still the class of the AFC West. The Chiefs should be able to hang with San Diego early thanks to the upgrades in talent made during the off-season but I like the Chargers to take control in the second half.
