Week 3 NFL Preseason Lines Now Up

Its Monday morning and after a 2 days of our blog being down due to some upgrades, (thanks yahoo and word press) the Maddux Sports Blog is up and running. For the first post of the week we note that Pinnacle, Mansion, and CRIS have preseason betting lines for Week 3 of the NFL practice games. Getting on these betting odds early is a way sharp players can exploit weak lines. We noted in our post about College openers a couple weeks back about picking up such lines as Miami Florida +6.5, Akron +23.5, and Tennessee +2 to name a few that Maddux grabbed, this week NFL was no different.

Monday was the same deal as Maddux and some other sharp bettors picked off such weak lines as Carolina -3.5 Buffalo -3, and Cincy -3.5, Green Bay & Cincinnati Over 37.

The Journal reports, “The plan right now is to play the starters roughly the first three quarters against Miami. Then the last week at Pittsburgh, it will probably be a series to a quarter,” Carolina head coach John Fox said. Making Carolina -3.5 a great bargain at this time.

As for the GB/Cincy Over, The Enquirer reports Palmer said Sunday he expects to play in the Cincinnati Bengals’ preseason game next Monday vs. Green Bay, provided he doesn’t have any swelling this week in his surgically rebuilt knee. Coach Marvin Lewis was noncommittal earlier about when his starting quarterback would get on the field for the first time. Later, Palmer said he plans to be under center against the Packers. “I’m preparing to play. I’m practicing to play,” Palmer said. “That’s been part of the plan, part of the schedule. I’ll see how I feel later in the week, but right now I’m expecting to play.”Â Making both Cincy -3.5 and the Over 37 great plays.
