NBA Finals Game 6 Selected Props at Bovada: Golden State Warriors Edition

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS PLAYER PROP BETTING AT BOVADA

The NBA Finals Game 6 at Oracle should be an exciting affair as the Golden State Warriors now try to “win one for Kevin Durant.” Durant’s absence sets Golden State back to the place it was while trailing this series 1-3, but perhaps with a renewed sense of urgency and intensity now that the star has not only been injured but also cheered for that injury by the Toronto Raptors home crowd at Air Canada Center. That compelling story aside, let us examine the Game 6 player prop bets for some key Golden State Warriors in a game that should feature plenty of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson scoring after the pair combined for 57 points in the Game 5 victory Monday night.

All Props C/O Bovada.lv

Total Points DeMarcus Cousins O/U 10.5 points (O -125; U -105)

DeMarcus Cousins presumably returns to the starting lineup with Durant now out for more than just this series (but the better part of a full calendar year). Cousins had 14 points and six rebounds in Game 5, and he is going to be called upon to repeat that performance at least to supplant the void that Durant will again leave in Golden State’s scoring column. Cousins has scored 14, six, and four over the past three games, but he has reached double-figures in the two games in this series that saw him receiving at least 20 minutes of court time. He had an 11-point, 10-rebound performance in Game 2, but dropped the ball pretty much in three of the five games. This is a somewhat risky proposition given that inconsistency, but we are going with the “What have you done for me lately model here?” and predicting Cousins nearly repeats at least what he did in that last crucial game. The OVER is the choice here.

Total Points Klay Thompson O/U 24.5 points (O -135; U +105)

Klay Thompson scored 26 points in Game 5, but he has shot just 43.2 percent against Toronto over the course of the teams’ meetings this season. Even so, he has averaged 26.3 points per game over the last three games, while shooting 58.8, 61.1, and 42.9 percent over those three contests individually. Thompson seems to be coming around as this series goes on, probably an indicator he is feeling more healthy and abler, and the Warriors need him now more than ever. Thompson may have one of his atomically hot Game 6s, and we like the odds of just that happening—this is a nice bet on the OVER at -135 for 24.5 points, and the second OVER thus far. The trend is developing.

Total Points Stephen Curry O/U 32.5 points (O -130; U EVEN)

Stephen Curry attempted 23 field goals in Game 5, and the chances are he at least meets that mark here in Game 6 back at Oracle. He has scored 31, 27, and 47 points over the past-three games while shooting 45, 40 and 43 percent over those games. Curry has scored 30 or more in three of the five games this series, and his focus seems as good as ever. While going with a third Golden State over seems to be redundant and even improbable, the Warriors are focused, motivated, and angry—and Curry and Thompson could both have historical performances in this one. OVER.

Total Assists Draymond Green O/U 8.5 assists (O -125; U -105)

While we expect plenty of scoring from Thompson and Curry, that has not really been Draymond Green’s M.O. nor calling card in this series. He has, however, been dropping dimes. Green had eight assists in Game 5, and he finished Game 4 with 12. He has also played 40 or more minutes every game this series, and only two of the five games saw him finish under 8.5 assists. The trend supports the OVER here as Green finds hot Curry-Thompson passes on the regular and finishes with double-digit assists in this Game 6 Warriors’ victory, OVER.

Total Points And Rebounds DeMarcus Cousins O/U 15.5 combined (O -125; U -105)

Continuing with DeMarcus Cousins, if he is going to manage to score 14 or more points again, 15.5 (meaning he grabs just TWO rebounds to get the over) is well within reach. Because Cousins is nearly required to get this “W” for the Warriors, expect him to come out focused. Remember, Cousins is on a one-year deal and is essentially still proving to other teams his value in free agency this summer. So, there should be plenty of motivation for Boogie to come out showing what is his top-form at this point in his career. He might be the series difference maker, while all the attention goes to the shooting of Curry and Thompson. Moreover, Cousins and the Warriors have had three days rest, and this helps DeMarcus as much as any of them, so of these selected prop bets, make this the fifth over of five, OVER.
