The Redskins and Cowboys renew their rivalry Sunday in Landover with first place in the NFC East on the line.

The NFC East might be the worst division in football but the AFC South is pretty mediocre as well. The Washington Redskins lead the NFC East at 3-2 by a half game over the 3-3 Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. Then there are the 1-5 New York Giants.

The last five games in this series have gone over the total. The road team is 7-1 ATS in this series recently. The underdog is 30-10 ATS in this series. The Cowboys are 5-2 ATS against the Redskins and have covered the last four times in Washington.

Dallas exploded for 40 points last week against a good Jaguars’ defense. However, the Cowboys have struggled to say the least in three road games averaging only 12 points. Both these teams are  among the best defensive teams in the league. I expect a close low scoring game with the Redskins pulling it out at the end.
