The Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings met in the NFC Championship last year. The Eagles crushed the Vikings 38-7 en route to winning their first Super Bowl title. Overall, Philadelphia leads the series 14-13.
However, neither team has gotten off to a great start as the Eagles host the Vikings Sunday. The Vikings are 1-2-1 and in third place in the NFC North. The Eagles are 2-2 and tied for second place in the NFC East. It is a little early to talk about being desperate for a win, but both teams could certainly use a win.
Minnesota is coached by Mike Zimmer. The Vikings have a home win over the San Francisco, a 29-29 tie at the Green Bay Packer, a home loss to the Buffalo Bills 27-6 and a road loss to the Los Angeles Rams 38-31 last Thursday. The Vikings were 7.5 point underdogs against the Rams and the total was 48.5. Minnesota is 2-2 ATS and the total is 2-2 this season.

Philadelphia has road losses to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-21 and Tennessee Titans 26-23 in overtime last week. The Eagles were 3 point favorites against the Titans and the total was 41.5. Philadelphia is1-3 ATS and the total is 2-2 this season.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins has completed 69.3% of his passes for 1,387 yards with 10 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He has been sacked 13 times. Cousins has rushed for 61 yards on 12 carries.

The underdog is 4-0 ATS in this series recently. The under is 4-1 in this series in Philadelphia. The home team has covered seven of the last ten in this series. The Eagles are 7-2 ATS against the Vikings recently including 5-1 in Philadelphia.
Don’t look for Minnesota to end their running game woes without Cook and against the dominant Philadelphia run defense. Minnesota’s vaunted defense has struggled mainly due to injuries. The Eagles have struggled on offense both with Foles and Wentz. Still, I like the Eagles to win a close game at home.
