The New York Jets have lost three of its past five games leading into Sunday’s matchup against the New York Giants. The Jets are 2-3 on the road this year and NFL oddsmakers set the line even for the affair, with an over/under of 45.

Last week the Jets knocked off the Miami Dolphins 38-20 last week. The Jets improved to 4-2 at home with the win as Ryan Fitzpatrick (thumb injury but likely to play this week) threw 22 of 37 for 277 yards and four TDs without throwing a pick. Brandon Marshall (toe injury, probable) came through wit ha big game, catching nine passes for 131 yards while scoring two of the receiving TDs.

Eric Decker (knee, probable) caught fie passes for 62 yards and a TD. In the backfield, Chris Ivory rushed 21 times for 87 yards and a TD.

The Jets allowed 351 passing yards to Ryan Tannehill in the game, but were able to stop the Dolphins run very effectively, allowing just 12 rushing yards on nine carries. The Dolphins were not looking to rush the ball, and Lamar Miller led Miami in carries with just five.

Fitzpatrick has been relatively effective this year having thrown 210 of 359 (58.5 percent) while amassing 2,476 yards passing this season. He averages just 6.9 yards per attempt but has thrown 20 TDs with 11 INTs on the year for an interception percentage of 3.1 percent. He has been sacked 11 times this season but boasts a passer rating of 85.4.

Marshall has been his primary target with 71 catches for 931 yards (13.1 per attempt) this season while scoring nine TDs. He has fumbled five times, however, two of which were not recovered. No. 2 receiver Decker has caught 51 passes for 700 yards with eight TDs. Marshall and Decker have 17 of the team’s 22 reception TDs this season. Chris Ivory leads New York in rushing with 766 yards and a 4.1 yard per carry average. Fitzpatrick has rushed for 187 yards and two TDs, ranking second in team rushing TDs behind Ivory’s seven.

The Giants have dropped two straight with losses to New England and the Washington Redskins. Last week the Giants fell 20-14 to Washington as the Giants fell to 2-4 on the road this season. Eli Manning had 321 yards but threw three INTs and just two TDs, while also being sacked three times for a loss of 22 yards. He posted a QBR of just 18.5 in the game.

WR Odell Beckham Jr. benefitted, however, with 142 yards on nine catches including a TD pass. Will Tye finished second in yardage with 74 on six catches. The Giants got close to nothing on the ground, however, managing just 33 yards on 12 carries.

Getting rush production has been difficult for the Giants this season with No. 1 back Rashad Jennings averaging just 3.8 yards per carry on 111 attempts this season. Beckham has 1,005 reception yards on the season while having scored a team-high nine TDs.

Rueben Randle ranks second on the team in TDs (4) while having amassed 511 yards on 40 receptions. Shane Vereen is tied in receptions with 40 but has just 342 yards on the season on 40 catches (8.6 yards per attempt).
