Cincinnati has won its first two games of the season against in-state opponents, including a 31-24 victory over Miami Ohio as 30-point home favorites last Saturday, while going UNDER the betting total of 61.5.  The Bearcats have won 76 games over the last seven years, which is important to consider when making your Week 5 college football predictions, considering that’s the most of any current American Athletic Conference member.  The program leads the nation in fewest penalties and penalty yards.  Cincinnati is 2-3 SU and 2-2-1 ATS as underdogs the last two-plus seasons.

The Bearcats are being led offensively by quarterback Gunner Kiel, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football betting lines, as he leads the country in being responsible for 30.0 points per game.  Kiel has gone 50-of-76 for 689 yards and 10 touchdowns with a pair of interceptions.  Wide receiver Mekale McKay has been his main target in grabbing 12 balls for 215 yards and three scores.

Ohio State enjoyed a week off after posting a 66-0 blowout victory over the Kent State Golden Flashes as 31.5-point home favorites on Sept. 13, while it has won the statistical battle in all three of its contests during the 2014 campaign.  The Buckeyes have not lost in 44 consecutive games against in-state opponents, which includes a stretch of 39 straight wins.  The team is also a dominating 75-8 SU overall at Ohio State since the start of the 2002 season.  Ohio State is 9-1 SU and 8-1-1 ATS in its last 10 games versus AAC opponents.

The Buckeyes have had 97 of their 121 points scored this season by freshmen and sophomores, while redshirt freshman J.T. Barrett threw for 312 yards and tied a school record with six touchdown passes last time out.  Head coach Urban Meyer has put together a dominating 49-5 SU career record in the months of August and September.

Sports bettors will likely back the Bearcats due to the Buckeyes being 0-5 ATS in their last five games following a SU win.
