Pittsburgh is 2-8 in its last 10 games, as it looks to bounce back from a 7-0 setback to the St. Louis Cardinals as +166 road underdogs Sunday, while pushing up against the betting total of 7.  The Pirates compiled a 15-5 record in interleague play a season ago—the best such mark in Major League Baseball.  Outfielder Andrew McCutchen hit .375 with two home runs and 11 RBI in 18 games against AL opponents in 2013.  Pittsburgh is 2-4 as a road underdog of +100 to +125 this season.

Pirates starting pitcher Charlie Morton (0-3, 4.35 ERA) has lost his last three efforts, including a 5-2 home defeat to the Cincinnati Reds last time out—allowing four runs (three earned) and four hits over six innings of work.  The right-hander is 0-1 with a 4.85 ERA in two road outings this season, with opposing hitters batting .280 against him.  Morton is 0-3 in his last five starts in interleague play since winning his MLB debut at the Los Angeles Angels while pitching for the Atlanta Braves.

Baltimore has alternated wins and losses over its last four contests, as it comes off a 9-3 setback to the Kansas City Royals as +116 home underdogs Sunday, while going OVER the betting total of 7.5.  The Orioles averaged 4.7 runs at home a year ago for baseball’s fourth-best mark, but are at a MLB-worst 2.6 this year.  First baseman Chris Davis landed on the disabled list over the weekend, which will be a huge blow due to leading the league with a .427 average in interleague play a season ago.  Baltimore is 27-12 as home favorites of -125 to -150 the last two-plus seasons.

Orioles starting pitcher Chris Tillman (3-1, 3.38 ERA) has led the club to back-to-back wins, including a 10-8 road victory over the Toronto Blue Jays last time out, as he surrendered seven runs and nine hits over 5.2 frames.  The right-hander is 0-1 with a 0.69 ERA in two home outings, with opposing hitters batting .200 against him.  Tillman will be making his first career appearance versus the Pirates.

Sports bettors will likely back the Pirates due to their 10-1 record in their last 11 interleague games as an underdog.
