The Pacers got three great offensive games from David West, Paul George and George Hill in game four. The trio combined to shoot 22-of-39 from the floor for 57 points.
The Pacers also got 23 points from its bench, led by Evan Turner’s 11. Larry Bird’s choice to acquire Turner has been criticized, but when properly utilized the swingman from Ohio State gives the second unit an added playmaker.
Paul Millsap really got cooking for Atlanta in game four. Millsap accounted for 29 points, hitting 10-of-18 from the floor and also snagging seven rebounds and blocking three shots. Jeff Teague had an off game, hitting just 5-of-15 from the floor.
Millsap and Teague are the heart and soul of this Hawks team, and for Atlanta to have a chance at the upset, it needs strong games from both of them throughout the remainder of the series.
The Hawks rely on Teague’s scoring and playmaking, and though the Hawks don’t have its best player Al Horford, the Pacers are leaving the door wide open for the 8th seeded Hawks to upset this Pacers squad.
