Heat Celtics NBA Game Preview
The Miami Heat have won eight consecutive home games against the Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn has won six of its last seven games, including a 101-97 victory over the Toronto Raptors as three-point home favorites Monday, while going OVER the betting total of 197.5.  The Nets have three of five probable starters averaging in double figures, with guard Joe Johnson leading the way at 15.2 points a contest, which is important to consider when making your NBA betting picks.  The franchise is 12-19 SU on the road, including a 6-12 mark when taking on Eastern Conference rivals.

The Nets have seemingly turned things around since the calendar turned to 2014, as they’ve compiled a 22-9 SU record over that span, which can’t be ignored when looking over the pro basketball odds page.  Brooklyn is trying to snap an eight-game road  losing streak against the two-time defending league champions, but it joins the Chicago Bulls as the only two teams to defeat Miami twice this season.  The squad is 26-10 SU when holding opponents under the century mark—accomplishing that feat in a 104-95 overtime victory over Miami as five-point home underdogs in the most recent meeting in the series.

Miami snapped a three-game losing streak by picking up a 99-90 victory over the Washington Wizards as eight-point home favorites Monday, while going UNDER the betting total for a third consecutive contest.  The Heat are 25-4 SU at the AmericanAirlines Arena during the 2013-14 campaign, including a 17-2 mark versus conference foes.  Forward LeBron James is the main player to handicap in this affair, considering he’s scored in double-figures in 554 consecutive games.  Miami is 4-0-1 ATS in its last five home games.

The Heat are a league-best 16-2 at home since Dec. 10, with the only losses coming to 40-win teams Golden State and Oklahoma City.  James had 26 points in the first meeting in this series and 36 in the last one despite fouling out for the first time since 2008.

Sports bettors will likely back the Heat due to the home team covering the number in six of the last seven meetings in this series.
