The Golden State Warriors are 24-14 and 11-4 at home this season. The Warriors will host the Boston Celtics in a game NBA oddsmakers at Bovada are favoring the Warriors by 12-points.
Golden State is currently seated sixth in the Western Conference and had won 11 straight games before falling to the Brooklyn Nets on Wed night. The team relies heavily on its hot shooting backcourt of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry. Curry is posting 23.1 points per game and 9.4 assist per game, while Thompson averages 19.3 points per game.
David Lee is quietly one of the best at the 4-spot in the NBA and the rugged forward averages 19.1 points and 10 rebounds per game, to round out a starting lineup that also features versatile forwards Andre Iguodala and second year swingman Harrison Barnes.
The Warriors are starting to play as the team is capable of, and the x-factor is always just how hot Curry is capable of getting. He can single-handedly erase big deficits with his shooting touch and may make his first All-Star team this season.
Boston was doing reasonably well considering the team is still without Rajon Rondo, but it has now lost its last six contests to fall to 13-23. The Celtics are still only 1.5 games behind Brooklyn for the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference, though, somehow, remarkably. When Rondo returns, the team could plausibly make a run to playoff relevance, but such may be shortsighted given the inevitable matchup with Miami or Indiana.
Avery Bradley is probably the most valuable Celtic up to this point given his improvements on the offensive end and still-suffocating defense. Bradley is posting 14.3 points per game but frustrates opposing guards immensely. Jordan Crawford and Jeff Green are both filling it up, but the Celtics could bear to score more, averaging just 95 points per game as a team this season. Green leads the way with 15.9 per game, but for the Celtics to be a threat, that number should be well over 18.
