Tennessee will play the first of three consecutive road games this week, as it was last seen on a football field suffering a 30-27 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts as 2.5-point home underdogs on Nov. 14, while going OVER the betting total for the sixth time in seven contests. The Titans will be led by quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, who established a new career high by completing 78.6 percent of his passes last week, which can’t be ignored when making your NFL predictions in Week 12. Tennessee is 4-0 ATS on the road with a total between 38.5 and 42 points during the 2013 campaign.
The Titans are allowing 129.2 rushing yards over their last six games and their 15 rushing touchdowns allowed are tied for the most in the league. Tennessee will need a big performance from running back Chris Johnson, who is averaging 63.2 yards a game, but put together a 142-yard performance in a 38-13 home win over the Raiders on Sept. 12, 2010.
Oakland returns home after splitting a pair of road games, which included a 28-23 victory over the Houston Texans as 10.5-point road underdogs last Sunday, while going OVER the betting total in each of those affairs. The Raiders were able to land in the win column despite sending out a rookie quarterback to make his first NFL start, with former Penn State Nittany Lions product Matt McGloin filling in for the injured Terrelle Pryor. He completed 18 of 32 passes for 197 yards against the Texans. Oakland is 3-0 ATS versus AFC South opponents this season, with the UNDER going 2-1 in that situation.
The Raiders are averaging 160.7 rushing yards over their last three games, but the status of starter Darren McFadden is uncertain, as he continues to deal with a hamstring. Oakland will likely turn to Rashad Jennings, who notched 150 rushing yards a week ago, including an 80-yard touchdown dash.
Sports bettors will likely back the Titans due to their 5-2-1 ATS mark in their last eight opportunities following a SU loss.
