Missouri certainly has designs on capturing the SEC East Division title, as it has won two games in a row, including a 48-17 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats as 14-point road favorites on Nov. 9. The Tigers have compiled a perfect 4-0 record away from Columbia this season, which is important to consider when making your college football predictions in Week 13. The program is trying to secure its fourth 10-win season in its last seven campaigns under head coach Gary Pinkel. Missouri is 3-0 SUATS as road favorites this season, with all three games going OVER the betting total.
The Tigers are currently in the No. 8 spot in the latest BCS standings, which has been made possible by being one of just eight teams to rank in the Top 20 nationally in both offense scoring and defensive scoring. Missouri has caused a turnover in 40-straight games, which is the longest streak of its kind in the BCS. Everyone talks about its spread attack in terms of passing proficiency, but the unit ranks second in the conference in averaging 235.8 rushing yards per game.
Mississippi has won four games in a row, including a 51-21 blowout victory over the Troy Trojans as 28-point home favorites last Saturday, while winning the statistical battle in every contest over that span. The Rebels are bowl eligible for the second straight year under head coach Hugh Freeze, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football betting lines. Offensively, the team has gone above the 500-yard mark in each of its last four games, including a school-record 751 last time out. Mississippi is 3-6 SU and 4-5 ATS when the betting line is between +3 and -3 since 2011.
The Rebels have played 12 true freshmen this season, which is tied for the 11th-most among Division I FBS teams. Mississippi is the only school in the upper half of the SEC statistical rankings in every offensive and defensive category. Quarterback Bo Wallace is third in the SEC in averaging 289.6 total yards per game, with wide receiver Donte Moncrief entering with 2,119 career receiving yards.
Sports bettors will likely back the Rebels due to their 4-1 ATS mark in their last five home games.
